Judge Grover Dunn
Judge Grover Dunn was appointed as Deputy Probate Judge for the Bessemer Division by Judge George S. Reynolds in 1993 and was reappointed by Judge Reynolds to serve from January 1995 to January 2001.
In 2001, then Governor of Alabama, Don Siegelman appointed Judge Dunn as Deputy Tax Collector for the Bessemer Division of Jefferson County. Judge Dunn was elected to that position in 2001, 2006, 2010 and 2014.
Judge Dunn received his B.S. from Alabama A&M University, his M.S. from the University of Montevallo, and his A.A. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He previously served as a teacher, coach, and principal of C.F. Hard Primary School and Jess Lanier High School in Bessemer and as a member of the Bessemer City Council.
